Wondering how to archive reels on Instagram in 2022?

Don’t worry – like always I’m here to help you out and guide you throughout the process.

The thing is – while you can easily archive photos and chats yet there’s no option to archive Instagram reels. And that’s disappointing.

But luckily, Instagram is rolling out updates at a lightning-fast pace – and I believe that the Instagram dev team will soon roll out a feature that allows users to archive reels.

Don’t worry if you want to archive reels on Instagram, I have found a turnaround. It’s not exactly what you’re looking for – but may help you out a bit.

Throughout this blog post, I’ll be showing you how to archive reels on Instagram in 2022.

How to Archive Reels on Instagram in 2022

While Instagram doesn’t allow users to archive reels, what you can do is – you can download the reel and delete it from your Instagram account. If that’s what you’re okay with, you can do it by following these steps:

Step I – You can download your Instagram reel(s) from InstagramSave. While there are other Instagram video or reel downloaders like Allinonedownloader, iGram, and many more, we’ll use InstagramSave in this example.

Head over to InstagramSave by clicking HERE.

How to Download Instagram Reels

Now, to download the reel, first, you need to copy its URL. You can do this by launching the reel and tapping on the three-vertical dotted line. Select “Copy Link.” Now, as the link is copied, head back to Instagram Save and paste it into the “Paste Video Link” box. Select “Download Insta Video.”

Step II – Now, you can download the reel by clicking on the “MP4” icon. As soon as you click on it, the platform will automatically process your request and save the reel to your Gallery. Once your reel is downloaded, you can head over to Instagram and delete the reel from your account.

NOTE – Instagram dev team is rapidly rolling out updates. I’ll update this blog post as soon as I found out that they have officially enabled the “Archive Reels” feature. If I haven’t updated it by the time this feature is out, please leave your valuable comment and I’ll get on it as soon as I can.

And that’s how you can archive reels on Instagram. While you can’t directly archive Instagram reels, I’ve shown you a turnaround – which you can use as an alternative. But obviously, it’s not what you may have been looking for.

Unfortunately, that’s not the only way.
