Wondering how to copy your Instagram profile link?
While you may have copied and shared someone’s Instagram profile link numerous times by hopping onto their profile, if you visit your profile and try to do the same, you won’t be able to do it.
Unfortunately, there’s no direct way of copying your Instagram profile link.
Yes! We live in 2022 and that sucks.
But obviously, that doesn’t mean that you can’t share your Instagram profile link with anyone.
There are a few ways to do this – but you won’t be able to do it directly from the application while still using your profile.
Let’s find out how to copy your Instagram profile link.
How to Copy Your Instagram Profile Link
Copying your Instagram profile directly from your profile is not possible. While Instagram users can copy others’ profile links directly by hopping onto their profiles, you won’t be able to do the same if you hop onto your profile. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t copy your Instagram profile link. Four ways to do it are by using someone else’s profile, mobile browser, desktop, or Instagram username.
Following are the four ways to copy your Instagram Profile Link:
Use Someone Else’s Profile
When we want to share someone’s profile on Instagram, what we usually do is head over to their profile, copy their profile URL and share it with the person you’re looking forward to sharing it with. Here, we’ll do the same.
But in order to perform this step, you need to have a second Instagram account. If you don’t, then you can just skip to the next step.
What we’ll do is switch to the second Instagram account and from there, head over to the primary account.
So, let’s say – I want to copy the link of Technometer’s Instagram account – @technometer.co
So, what I’ll do is log in or switch to my personal Instagram account. And from there, I’ll head over to @technometer.co
Click in the top-right corner on the three-vertical-dotted lines and select “Copy Profile URL” to copy your Instagram account’s link.
Use Mobile Browser
Another way to copy your Instagram profile link is to log in to your Instagram account from your mobile browser.
Head over to www.instagram.com and log in to your account.
Once logged in, head over to your profile from the bottom-right corner by clicking on your profile picture. When you’re on your Instagram profile page, click on the URL section of the mobile browser.
As you can see, we have the URL of your account right here. Now, from here, you can copy it and send it directly to people you’re looking forward to sharing it with.
If you don’t want to go through the trouble of logging in to your Instagram account on your mobile browser, you can log in to your account on your Desktop.
Launch the preferred browser on your Desktop and head over to www.instagram.com. Log in to your account there.
As you log in, the next step is to click on your profile picture in the top navigation bar. You’ll see it on the right of the “Like” button. As you click on it, you’ll see a drop-down menu with options like Profile, Saved, Settings, Switch Accounts, and Log Out.
Click on Profile to head over to your Instagram Profile.
From here, you can directly copy your profile link from the URL section of the web browser – as you can see in the screenshot.
Now, you can copy this URL and share it with anyone.
Just Use Your Instagram Username
Instagram Profile URLs are not complicated. It’s not rocket science. Every account has a different username and two accounts cannot have the same one.
So, if you don’t really want to go through the trouble of performing the above-mentioned ways, what you can do is just copy your Instagram username.
You can just build up your Instagram profile URL by adding your username after www.instagram.com/
So, if my username is ‘technometer.co,’ then my Instagram profile URL will be www.instagram.com/technometer.co
As simple as that!
And that’s how you can easily copy your Instagram profile link and share it with your friends, family members, or literally anyone out there.
Instagram should definitely give you the ability to copy your account’s profile link. But sadly, it doesn’t.
No worries – we find our solutions ourselves.
I hope I was able to help you out.
