Let’s begin with Android.
How to Send GIFs on Snapchat Messenger on Android Devices?
To send GIFs on Snapchat messenger on Android devices, Snapchat users need to switch the GBoard. While it’s the default keyboard across most Android devices, chances are that you may be using your phone manufacturer’s very-own keyboard.

To switch to Gboard, head over to your Android phone’s settings. Scroll down to the bottom to find “System.” Click on it to head over to the System settings.
Now, from here, under “Accessibility,” you need to click on “Languages and Input.” In this section, you’ll be able to change your phone’s keyboard.
Under “Languages and Input,” click on “Virtual Keyboard.” Now, from here, you can select the keyboard you’d like to use. As you can see, my phone’s default keyboard is already set to “Gboard.”

When you’ve set the keyboard as “Gboard,” head over to Snapchat and launch one of your friend’s or family member’s conversations.
Tap on the text bar and you’ll see the “GIF” option in the menu bar of the keyboard. Click on “GIF” and from here you can search and send GIFs to spice up the conversation.
How to Send GIFs on Snapchat Messenger on iOS Devices?
To send GIFs on Snapchat messenger on iPhone, Snapchat users need to enable and switch to the GIPHY keyboard.
While it’s not the default keyboard you can enable it from your iPhone’s settings and start using it to send GIFs on Snapchat messenger.
But before you are able to enable it, you need to download it from the App Store, if you haven’t already.
You may download the GIPHY keyboard from HERE.

Once downloaded, it’s time to install the keyboard.
To install the GIPHY keyboard on your iPhone, head over to your iPhone Settings.
Under Settings, select “General.”
Upon selecting “General,” scroll down to find the “Keyboard” option. Click on it and here we’ll be able to install the GIPHY keyboard with ease.
Select “Add New Keyboard…” GIPHY is a third-party keyboard – so you’ll be able to find it under the “Third Party Keyboards.”
Upon adding the keyboard, you’ll now be able to see it as an active keyboard.
Now, we need to allow it full access.

You can do this by tapping on it and allowing full access using the “Allow full access” option.
Now, you’ll be able to use this keyboard to send GIFs on Snapchat.
To do this, head over to Snapchat and launch the conversation of the person you’d like to send GIFs to.
Tap on “Chat” to open up the keyboard.
Now, on the left of the spacebar, you’ll be able to see the Globe/Internet icon – which you need to hold on to change the keyboard.
Select “GIPHY” and from there, you can search and send GIFs to spice up your Snapchat conversations.
NOTE – You can also use Gboard to send GIFs on Snapchat messenger on iOS devices.
