Luckily, with Facebook “Memories” feature, you can look at the pictures you posted on Facebook, posts that you were tagged in as well as anniversaries on this very day years ago.

So, how to go ahead and share a memory on Facebook?

Usually, Facebook notifies you about your Facebook memories. But if you have that turned off in the Facebook Memories Settings, then chances are that you may not be receiving any notifications.

But don’t worry – if you still want to look at the Memory and share it with your Facebook friends, allow me to show you how to do that.

Facebook users can easily share a memory on Facebook by heading over to the Memories section, looking back at the memories they’d like to share, and clicking on the “Share” button.

How to Share a Memory on Facebook on Desktop

To share a memory on Facebook while accessing it on Desktop, click on “Memories” in the left-hand navigation bar, find the memories you’d like to share with your friends, and hit the “Share” button. Following are the exact steps you need to follow:

The first step is to log in to your Facebook account if you haven’t already. Head over to www.facebook.com and log in to your Facebook account while using it on Desktop.

Once you’re logged in, click on the “Memories” option in the left-hand navigation bar.

Find the Memory You’d Like to Share & Share it

As you can see, I shared a picture on my Facebook feed on June 10th, 2016. That’s six years ago. So, what I’ll do is – scroll down and click on the “Share” button just below the picture. 

How to Share a Memory on Facebook on Desktop

Now, you can add what you’re thinking about in the “What’s on your mind?” section. Also, you can add pictures, tag people, add a feeling/activity and do more. And once you’ve finally optimized the memory, click on “Post” to share it with your friends. 

And that’s how you can share a memory with your friends on Desktop.

How to Share a Memory on Facebook on Mobile Devices

To share a Facebook memory while using the mobile application, click on the three vertical lines in the top-right corner just below the Messenger icon, select “Memories”, find the memories that you would like to share with your Friends, and hit the “Share” button. Follow these steps to get a detailed picture:

The first step is to launch your Facebook mobile application. I use an Android device. And the steps are almost the same on iOS devices – so I haven’t created a dedicated section for iOS. Make sure that you’re logged in to your Facebook account.

Once logged in, tap on the three vertical lines in the top-right (just below the Messenger icon). Click on it to head over to the Facebook main menu.

There you’ll find different options like:

  • Friends
  • Groups
  • Marketplace
  • Videos on Watch
  • Memories 
  • And more!

Click on “Memories” to head over to Facebook Memories.

How to Share a Memory on Facebook on Android or iPhone

Under Facebook Memories, as you can see, I shared a picture on my Facebook feed on this date – June 10th, 2016.
